At a lunch held today in Sydney’s Circular Quay, a panel of vendors briefed the media on how IT security services were changing to respond to more sophisticated cyber threats. According to the panel, the three most challenging areas for modern IT security are: virtualisation, mobility and BYO devices.
John Reeman, CTO for virtualisation security provider VMinformer, said human failure was at the heart of every security breach. “Human traits, whether they be oversight, ignorance, a laissez faire attitude, lack of visibility, lack of responsibility …are attitudes that will be the fundamental cause and systematic failure of security in virtualisation,” he said.

The HTC introduces its new smartphone, The HTC Droid Incredible 2. The HTC had been creating a line up of smartphones and this one is the successor of the HTC Droid Incredible. The Incredible 2 runs on an Android v2.2 Froyo operating system and is powered by Qualcomm MSM8255 Snapdragon 1GHz Scorpian processor. The handset works on a 2G network-CDMA 800/1900, GSM 850/900/1800/1900 and also on 3G network- CDMA 2000, HSDPA 900/2100. The Droid Incredible 2 was announced and released in April 2011 and is available in the markets.

Google enters its teen years, as the company turns 13 today. The company that opened in 1998, has turned into a multi-billion dollar world takeover (OK so not really, but close).
Though September 27 is not the official birthday for the site, they declare it the day of celebration. In honor of their 13th year, Google has changed their search engine logo as they have famously in the past to celebrate other holidays and other past birthdays.
In the beginning, the future for Google was quite uncertain. Back in ’98, CEO Larry Page had a simple goal to “build a service where the priority is on giving users great results.” Well, he outdid himself, as Google is synonymous for everything— coupons, shopping, maps, mobile, flight itineraries— you name it, Google has it.

PSoC Creator 2.0 design environment for the PSoC 3 and PSoC 5 programmable system-on-chip IC families adds 11 new, pre-configured peripheral components and now interoperates with the Keil µVision 4 integrated development environment. Also, new timing-driven routing enables designers to increase clock speed on many designs by 20% or more.
The design environment now offers S/PDIF for digital audio, Serial GPIO for HDDs, a fan controller, a voltage sequencer, and an external memory interface.
